Profile
Currently, Rebecca trains at the Hamilton Olympic Club. To train full time, Rebecca has not pursued dentistry, her career of choice. Her parents are helping her with some of her expenses, totaling about $1600 a month.

Due to lack of funds, Rebecca missed the Cardinal Invite in Palo Alto, California and the Harry Jerome 10 km Canadian Championships, which would have enabled her to receive placing points necessary for carding. Rebecca feels that Canada has the resources to support its athletes who could make a difference on the national and international levels.

“Rebecca has the potential to become one of Canada’s best track and field athletes ever,” says coach Sean Cleary. “With consistency and hard work, I feel that Rebecca can follow in the footsteps of many great track athletes, such as Sylvia Ruegger (Canada’s Marathon record holder).”
